gorillaz family time

Here's yet another WIP I may or may not get around to finishing. What's missing, you ask? Posters on the wall in the back, some overlying texture, coloring the linework, adding shading/depth, and most prominently, RUSSEL. WHERE IS HE? I tried to fit him in like fifteen times, and he just made things feel awkward, so I'm going to assume this is a photograph for a "family" album or something and Russel is taking it.

This was an ink doodle that sort of spurred itself into the land of better drawing by chance, after I spent the day looking at THIS: [link] !!!!!

In which, Babelgum.com, the website promoting the all-web premiere of the Gorillaz documentary, Banannaz, has been hosting the director's blog. On sed blog, it appears that Murdoc himself has made an appearance, arguing against points of the film, and at one point calling the director up from a bar at three in the morning and leaving a five minute piss-drunk ranting message. You can listen to it on the blog. It is hilarious.

Damon Albarn has also recently confirmed that Bobby Womack will be participating in the new album. This is also hilarious. I'm stoked.
