Yours Truly advertisement

why hello there new phase in my artistic career! I got a new job.

Yep. Yours Truly is a design company a friend of mine started recently, and hired me to work at. Currently I am the ONLY illustrator there, which is sort of funny because it's like having a whole business out in the field specifically attempting to promote only your freelance work. I get most of the money, but there's a ton of stuff pouring in, and to be honest, it's a little intimidating! I hope I'll be able to keep professional standards and satisfy everyone as best I can.

One thing of interest from this point on: I never was much for pre-planning pieces. Sure, I doodle thumbnails, but most of the time my work happens to me instead of vice versa. In this business, however, precision is so much more important. I'm henceforth devoting much more time and energy in my work into the structure and layout phase, and hopefully with a few new techniques I've been experimenting with, I should be able to level up! neato!

With the RVAnthology off to the printers, all I've got to do is gather some personal work for the Whitley show and I should be good to go. Busy busy me! you guys, drawing is so fun!
